DO YOU OFFER LOCAL PICKUP?

Lair of the Llama currently only does sales through the website. All orders are packaged with love and shipped to your door!

DO YOU ATTEND ANY FIBER FESTIVALS?

At the moment The Llama regularly attends several Michigan festivals. Please check The Llama’s Facebook and/or Instagram account for a more detailed schedule of upcoming events.

AFTER I PLACE MY ORDER, HOW WILL IT BE SHIPPED?

Orders are shipped Monday through Friday using USPS. You’ll receive an email with a tracking number when your package ships. Delivery estimates are just that, estimates. Orders of $120 and up shipped inside the United States will receive free delivery.

I THINK MY PACKAGE IS MISSING?

Please check with your local post office. The Llama is not responsible for lost or stolen packages.

If they can’t help, please get in touch with us and we’ll see what we can do.

DYE LOTS ARE UNIQUE & SPECIAL!

All roving and yarn are hand dyed in small batches. Each batch is unique and there are small differences in tones, speckles and the distribution of color. Although I try my absolute hardest to represent the most authentic colors in my photos, please note that they can appear differently on different screens/devices. Because of this, make sure to purchase enough for your project at the same time. I do my best to ensure consistency between batches and to match your order as closely as possible when you order multiples of a color.

If you are on the fence about having enough yarn for a project, we recommend ordering that extra skein.

FIBER AND BEST PRACTICES

The Llama does her best to make sure all of the excess color is rinsed out from our yarns and roving, but some bleeding is still possible, especially during the first wash with highly saturated colorways. The Llama recommends blocking your knits in cool water first to check for color-fastness, and washing with like-colors. If you are using high contrasting colors, we recommend that you steam block instead of wet blocking your knits. Despite all of our best efforts, darker/strong saturated colors will almost always bleed a little bit.

TAKE YOUR TIME IN MAKING A DECISION

 The Llama works hard to take high-quality photos of each fiber and yarn on the website. These pictures should give you a good idea of what the fiber looks like in real life, but you can also request extra pictures to help you out making a better decision. DO YOU ACCEPT RETURNS?

If there is a problem with your order, please contact me within three days of receipt via email at lairofthellama@gmail.com.  The Llama’s most important priority is that you love your fiber!

Returns must be requested via email within three days of the date of delivery.  Yarn & fiber must be in brand new condition and in the original packaging, free from exposure to smoke (once yarn has been caked or exposed to smoke, it is not refundable under any circumstances.)

If return shipments have not been mailed out (tracking shows acceptance at post office) within 5 days after the return request being approved, the return approval will be denied and packages not accepted.

Unless your order was filled incorrectly, return shipping charges are not refundable. Please note that a 15% restocking fee will apply to all returned items, and the buyer is responsible for all return shipping costs. 

Unfortunately, we cannot assume responsibility for items lost or damaged in transit on their way back to The Lair.

I respectfully ask that inquiries not be made on social media. It is impossible to give your inquiry the attention it deserves unless you contact me directly. The Llama we will not engage or discuss the details of your order publicly.
